A clever play on the differences between the have's and the have not's in modern society and a story of forbidden romance are the main themes of upcoming fantasy movie Upside Down. Plot Summary:Ever since Adam (Jim Sturgess) and Eden (Kirsten Dunst) fell in love as teens, their bond has faced astronomical odds. The pair are separated not just by social class and a political system bent on keeping them apart, but also by a freak planetary condition: they live on twinned worlds with gravity's that pull in opposite directions,he on the poverty-stricken planet below, she on the wealthy, exploitative world above. Their budding but illicit romance screeches to a tragic halt when interplanetary-border patrol agents catch them and Eden suffers an apparently fatal fall. But when, ten years later, Adam learns she is alive and working at a vast corporation whose towering headquarters connects their planets, he sets out on a dangerous quest to infiltrate the company and the upper world to reconnect with her. IGN have got their hands on a short preview clip of a car chase from Bruce Willis's upcoming action movie A Good Day to Die Hard.
Not to be outdone here it is.
Okay the much talked about sequel to J.J. Abrams 2009 Star Trek reboot, many rumour's have been flying around the web since even before it was officially announced by paramount, some seemed feasible, some were so unlikely that they made me laugh out loud. Such as the rumour that this movie was going to be a straight copy of Star Trek 2 : The Wrath of Kahn. I mean who in their right mind would believe CBS & Paramount would plough millions of dollars into a sequel to end up with the same plot as before.
Similar the rumour that the villain would still be Kahn was one that sounded way off base as well, remember Abrams prides himself on being able to show the viewer something they've never seen before even if he has to work within the constraints of the existing crew of the Enterprise.
One more thing i confidently predict is that rumours (and a trailer that seemed to re-enforce them) that Spock would die in this movie, he won't that would be far to much like the Wrath of Kahn and parallels would immediately be drawn something J.J. is no doubt desperate to avoid. Plus that would mean by default another sequel would have to follow the plot of the Search for Spock, not a good idea to back yourself into a plot corner like that.
So having covered what won't be in the movie lets cover what will starting with the obvious The starship Enterprise and the complete main cast of the 2009 movie will be returning along with new cast members Alice Eve who will be playing Dr Carol Marcus (I am given to believe that this will be Carol and Kirk's first meeting) and Peter Weller of Robocop fame playing an as yet undisclosed role.
The villain as has widely announced will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch (see IMDB profile here) who will be playing John Harrison reportedly some kind of superhuman terrorist possessing great physical strength and advanced technology as well as an ability to psychologically manipulate those around him.
Adding more mystery J.J. Abrams said in a recent interview "His name is John Harrison and he is sort of an... average guy who works in an organisation called Starfleet," Abrams added, "and he turns against the group because he has got this backstory and this kind of amazing secret agenda. After two very violent attacks, one in London and one in the US, our characters have to go after this guy and apprehend him. And it is a far more complicated and difficult thing then they ever anticipated. 'Into Darkness' is very much about how intense it gets and really what they are up against."
Full details of the plot are naturally being kept a closely guarded secret with the only plot description released thus far being as follows. In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organisation, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew. As Spock would say "intriguing" and deliberately short on details. The announced release date is: 17th may 2013 And until closer to that date hardcore Trekkie's will have to glean what further details they can from this teaser trailer.
The Japanese trailer which some say shows Spock dying (but I'm telling you that ain't going to happen)

Christian Slater, Holt McCallany
It seem like all the action hero's of the past are out to make a comeback and stallone is no exception
last year he released the action hero fest Expendables 2 and this year he follows up with Bullet to the Head.
Some of you may have spotted the bad guy played by Jason Momoa of Stargate Atlantis fame along with Christian Slater making an appearance.
Apparently based on a graphic novel this movie strikes me as what you would get if you combined Rush Hour with Taken, both of which are great action movies though with very different styles.
Will the director Walter Hill be able to pull it off? Time will tell.
Plot:"Bullet to the Head" tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a DC cop (Kang) who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. Trailer
Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Forest Whitaker,
Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro,
Jaimie Alexander, Eduardo Noriega,
Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, Genesis Rodriguez,
Daniel Henney, John Patrick Amedori
That's right Arnie's back kicking baddie butt and still looking good at the age of 65!
Out to prove that like a terminator his career can take hits and you might even think it's all over but he'll get back up dust himself off and just keep coming.
So what's the plot? After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy. With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow. Cortez's path: straight through Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement, including Agent John Bannister (Forest Whitaker) will have their final opportunity to intercept him before the violent fugitive slips across the border forever.
At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately rallies his team and takes the matter into his own hands, setting the stage for a classic showdown.
Being Korean director Kim Jee-Woon's U.S. directorial debut you can be sure The Last Stand will be chock full of edge of the seat action and no doubt Schwarzenegger's humour and one liner's both of which in my view make this a must see.
Starring: James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff, Joey King, Bruce Campbell
Ever wondered how the wizard got to the emerald city and the story of OZ began?
No me neither but that is the tale told in the epic new Disney movie OZ the Great and Powerful.
Boasting an all star cast of well known faces and certainly not lacking in the special effects this fantasy flick will no doubt keep the your little munchkins enthralled and ought to be well worth a look for a more grownup audience as well.
Plot: When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot--fame and fortune are his for the taking--that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity--and even a bit of wizardry--Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well. Will you be left crying "We're of to see the wizard!" or crying in the corner "There's no place like home!" perhaps this trailer will help you decide.

But it's not the house that's haunted, but his wife that is possessed with spirits, or as Malcolm calls it "relationship baggage." Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghost busters to rid her of the demon, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his marriage... or his sex life for that matter.

Okay i know this isn't strictly sci-fi but sci-fi fans like action to don't they?
Tell me you aren't as eager as me to see Bruce Willis back playing the role that made him a household name.
I thought so.
So on with the plot. McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.

With a name like spiders we can only be talking about a sci-fi/horror B-movie and wait till you hear the totally believable and most definitely not far fetched plot
"Spiders" centers on mutant spiders created by pieces of material from a disabled Soviet space station. With New York City threatened to be overrun, it's up to health inspector Rachel Cole to prevent the Queen Spider from uniting with her eggs and creating a full on army of five foot tall, killer spiders.
Still if B-movies and creepy crawleys are your thing give this one a look. Just don't expect too much from the plot or the special effects for that matter. Check out there facebook page.
